Lion is way too much fun. I’ve been sitting here and swiping left and right in-between my spaces. Pushing windows left and right is very much like the way you move stuff around on any idevice. Hence, the concept wasn’t completely alien yet it’s weird on a computer. Yet, it makes all of the scrolling a bit strange. My gut reaction was: why is it backwards now?. It’s still awkward to do but interesting nonetheless. I don’t know for how much longer I’ll keep it that way. Giving this another week at least.
Besides all the new toys, the most rewarding part about the entire update was that everything still works. The download took something around four days. The stress and anticipation was driving me crazy.
What if shit just won’t work out tomorrow?
Will I be able to publish my comic on the web?
Finish the website?
Do anything?
After the computer booted itself for the first time yesterday, I saw one of my randomized wallpapers. It was a small relief, but I was more worried about my productivity apps. Rest assured, even my old shortcuts still work. Basic things like spotlight shortcut. Yet, the new launchpad isn’t half bad. It allowed me to clear all my apps from my dock, so all I see is the apps that are turned on and keeps the icon clutter down. It’s nice just to see Finder, LP and Trash Can on the bottom of my screen. Those are my initial impressions of Lion. I’m having fun with it.
After a PRAM reset of course.
